OK, two long-time callers to Thom Hartmann's Program are craving
what Mr. Hartmann has not been able to deliver: Which is a 'final-decisive-powerful-say' regarding 'Race' & the N-word. (now, if you're squeamish
about seeing the actual 'N'-word, do not continue reading! on the other
hand, if you're interested in putting that word in its proper contextual-place, stay tuned - for - THIS IS historical-HARDBALL!!!)
In order to properly-begin this 'historical-HARDBALL'-narrative, a scene from a 1944 military-scenario that Donald Trump wants erased from U.S. military history! (but we're so sorry Donny-boy, this is journalistic-HARDBALL! and except for actual names, there will be no erasures, nor any redactions, those that you & your sycophant-lackeys-unConstitutionally use to shift facts! that is: all-ya'all LIE!)
The following is in a biography by Arnold Rampersad. It's the U.S. army's records of a court martial: the charges, "behaving with disrespect toward Capt.()his superior officer.", and, "a violation of Article no. 64...willful disobedience of lawful command of...(his same superior officer)."
After all others had testified, "At last (Lt. Jack Roosevelt) Robinson took the stand, although he was not obliged to do so.. The most poignant moment was perhaps when he explained his angry reaction to being called a nigger. In an inspired gesture, he then movingly invoked his memory of (his mother's) mother, Edna Sims McGriff...who had often talked to Jack and the other children about being born a slave in Georgia...before the Civil War. To the (lawyer's)question "Do you know what a nigger is?", Robinson replied..."my grandmother gave me a good definition, she was a slave, and she said the definition of the word was a low, uncouth person, and pertains to no one in particular; but I don't consider that I am low and uncouth...I objected to being called a nigger by this private or by anybody else. When I made this statement that I did not like to be called a nigger, I told the Captain, I said, 'If you call me a nigger, I might have to say the same about you..."
And this is where Shift The Unfit Narrative begins.

And so, this narrative begins with so-called 'news'; i.e., 'fake news'!
That is, the purposeful reportage of misinformation; the telling or writing of things & events that reporters know to be false, yet, deliver it as if it is factual. These people are willful-LIARS!

Back in the late 1990s, after more than 40-years of deadly-warring continually-escalating in Gaza between the Zionists & the Palestinians,
a STUN-ing proposal was made: That, instead of the Jews & Palestinians continuing to 'play' those deadly war-games, how about beginning some
new, non-deadly games?
The solution: Along the entirety of the Gaza strip, a Jewish housing settlement be erected, facing equal Palestinian housing also erected.
Between these two very-long equal in size housing settlements, Stadiums and soccer fields/parks are built, that separate the Palestinians from the Jews. And when these athletic fields/parks are not being used by Jewish & Palestinian soccer teams playing in scheduled games against each other, these stadium-fields/parks are considered a 'safe-zone', for all who want to use them.
It was assumed that, with both 'teams' living across from each other and competing in 'non-deadly' competitive-sporting activities, in time, both 'sides', but, especially the youth on both sides, would come to realize that, 'winning' has nothing to do with fighting or killing!
And most importantly, that, each person, of whatever ethnicity or persuasion, has a right to peaceably-survive!
This proposal/solution was so 'STUNningly-simple' to those in Washington D.C., that, those who were in charge of stopping the Palestinian/Jewish warring, quickly tossed it out as unworkable!
And so, more than a quarter-century later, 2025, the warring has continued escalating to the inclusion of 'death by drones & bombings &
snipers & famine & other dastardly methods'!
So, if you want proper/creative-necessary-solutions, ask STUN! (and not those who regularly Blah, Blah, Blah into the next hour!)

Months ago on this site, STUN wrote, 'Since congress has not done what
it should have done decades ago, that is, make our Washington 'District' a State!', now that the president is unnecessarily & improperly invading D.C. with our military, what needs to be accomplished is, all the residents in Washington D.C. need to be asked to quick-vote on whether, they want to
join our Union as a STATE?
If a majority of those residents vote to become a State, given how much this would change our present Congress, that could be of huge value!
But also, and really importantly, in these modern 21st-century times, it would give our Nation an unprecedented-undistricted-ungerrymandered vote!
And that would really change things!
Because, if this is accomplished by, We, the People bypassing our totally-dysfunctional Congress altogether, and whether or not D.C. residents vote to become a State, We, the People can continue by doing the same with Puerto Rico.
Washington D.C. & Puerto Rico residents will be given a simple 'yes' or 'no' vote-question, asking the residents of each, the 'District' and the 'territory', Do you want to join our Union as a State?
With that question being a straight 'population-vote-count' -
with no bordered districts!
With an added recommendation, that Greg Palast be the person putting together a 'team'(possibly made-up with middle & high school students)in
both D.C. & Puerto Rico, with him and his team overseeing all of the vote-counting: utilizing their postal services and whatever voting services are already intact, the total voting-populations in each area should be easy to determine, so that, for the very first time in our Nation's Union, both in D.C.
& PR, gaining an accurate, ungerrymandered total vote-count in both areas should be relatively easy.
If the residents in each vote for Statehood, this would be the beginning of transforming all of the other 50-State's voting activities -
making it possible for us as Nation, to begin correcting all voting- shenanigans that we've all had to endure for altogether too long!
It will be the beginning of getting an accurate vote-count in all 52-States!

Two days in a row, yesterday & today, on his weekly radio program, Thom Hartmann has proclaimed to the world that STUN is a 'scam'.
STUN countered yesterday by challenging Mr. Hartmann to allow STUN a weekly 'interview-spot', as he's done for decades with several; especially concentrating time for elected officials to speak with the public.
They are good, informative interviews that Mr. Hartmann enjoys, equating them to past presidential Towne-halls or 'fireside chats'.
But what most do not say, is: Other than decades of 'hot-air', these 'chats' have produced essentially nothing! All of which leaves most exasperated, and very-unbelievably, once again, has our Nation in a Trump-nakba.
STUN on the other hand claims to be able to "legally/Constitutionally" get Trump removed from office.
Regarding that claim, Thom resembles the 'doubter' of Biblical-yore; with many of his listeners(like MAGA-followers with their 'God-Trump), calling Thom 'professor', and simply agreeing with his conclusions.
So, to Thom's audience: If, as Mr. Hartmann 'knows' & professes, that STUN is a scam, given that the stakes are extremely high, so high that it means the first ever legal/Constitutional removal from office of our president, and possibly his imprisonment, how about all of you request that Thom prove his 'scam' claim.
What do we have to lose?
But what might be a question of much greater importance -
What might we, and the world, gain?

This A.M. a caller to Thom Hartmann's radio program who claims to be a 'conservative', asked Thom about 'STUN'-Shift The Unfit Narrative, which produced a response from Thom, whom most consider to be a well-informed, level-headed, honest individual.
The caller told Mr. Hartmann that a few months ago he heard about STUN
through another caller to Thom's program, so he went to, pasoir.com, to
check it out, because, according to this caller, STUN claims to be able to ,legally/ Constitutionally, get Trump out of the White House. Which claim really caught this particular conservative caller's attention because, from his conservative point of view, Trump has done nothing but harm our Constitutional Nation! Having him conclude that, We desperately need to rid ourselves of him!
Mr. Hartmann's reply (not a quote, but words to the affect that): STUN is a 'crooked-sham'.
So, to this talk-show host whom most consider to be a "well-informed,
level-headed, honest individual" (a consideration with which STUN totally-agrees) STUN makes the following challenge:
Mr. Hartmann: Given that for more than 2-decades you've made 'spots' on your program for multiple 'left-leaning, progressive'-guests, and yet, here we are, again/still, under cheating-Republican controls!
Repeating Republican-cheating that has put & kept We, the People, in the Constitutional-toilet! A toilet from which we must exit, as immediately as is possible!
With it absolutely-clear that Donald Trump must be removed from office!
BUT, that removal must occur in such manner that everyone, all U.S. & world citizens, accept that his removal be Constitutionally-legal!
Therefore, STUN challenges you, Mr. Hartmann, to conversations that lead to that result.

Immense-ignorance!...
...is an easily-proven condition for all humans since, however/whenever, our arrival on this planet!
*(and why the overwhelming-majority of the citizens of this first-ever-in- the-world-Nation with a Constitution & Bill of Rights do not even come close to comprehending the profound-value of these-'liberties'!)**
With it from within this 'condition of immense-ignorance' that 'we' (historically & now) struggled/struggle to survive; then, as has occurred into much of the modern-world, survival has become relatively-assured (with us abounding in food, millionaires, multi-millionaires, billionaires & soon trillionaires!), do, most in the 'first-world' go about daily doing whatever can
be done to become, in all ways, more-'abundant'. (those whom Thom calls, the morbidly-rich!)
With that monetary-abundance providing a sense of safety! (a sense of safety that, historically, is, at best, tenuous, because, many who have gained great-abundance [that is great-wealth!] often suffer the dangers of others [many times a spouse or relative(s) or associate(s), or even a lawyer/financial-accountant] robbing them, and possibly 'disappearing' them [murdering them] to steal their wealth!)
The point in being clear about inchoate 'immense-ignorance', is, when dealing with another human or other humans, no matter their position or status, all with whom one interacts are existing at some level within this 'immensely-ignorant' state.
So, being clear about this ever-constant all humanity 'Immense-Ignorance' condition', or, 'state of existence', can be a great value!
For, from this moment on, you are informed, that, from our beginning, we
all are, immensely-ignorant!
And in 'reproducing more of us', no matter how 'cute' or 'bright' any otherwise healthy child is, the only 'type' individual we can reproduce, is, 'more of the same'!
This morning, a caller into the Thom Hartmann Program, Diane, speaking about a gunman who, on the 32nd floor of a 50-floor building, opened fire with an assault rifle, killing four people he'd never previously met. It was just one more of many 'mass-massacres' this Nation 'absorbs' yearly. Diane's conversation was about the failings of our 2nd Amendment.
What she didn't say (and like most of us, probably doesn't know), is, the original 'Article' submitted to the first-ever Congress by James Madison in his 17-resolutions (which became our very-compromised 10-Bill of Rights), was, in its entirety, quickly voted-down by the majority of delegates, then, greatly-compromised by this majority, most of whom were White-male supremacist slave owners, who were busily increasing their slave-count by 'mating' with their female slaves; then, once these impregnated female slaves delivered, the 'Papa' slave-owner would keep some of his progeny, especially the females from whom he could gain even more slaves at no cost to him, and/or, he'd gain more immediate-wealth by selling-off some of these children of his into the lucrative, big corporate million-dollar business slave trade.
Now, how does 'immense-ignorance' fit into all of this?
For Diane(and great apologies to you if you already knew the following),
and everyone, we'll begin by comparing our 2nd-amendment law to Madison's original; then to his 're-draft', which, he re-wrote after having gained some input from others:
Our (since 1791) 2nd-amendment law:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Compare it to Madison's original, then his 're-draft':
The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; a well armed, and well regulated militia being the best security of a free country: but no person religiously scrupulous of bearing arms shall be compelled to render military service in person.
(re-draft) That the people have a right to keep and bear arms; that a well- regulated Militia composed of the body of the people trained to arms is the proper, natural and safe defense of a free State. That standing armies in time of peace are dangerous to liberty, and ought to be avoided as far as circumstances and protection of the community will admit; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to and governed by the civil power(question: Who is the 'Civil Power'?).
So the question (for Diane & everyone) becomes:
If either of Madison's 'right to bear arms' resolutions had been adopted, how, since 1791, would our Nation have operated?
Also, in 1789, the 'right to bear arms' mentality was: either carrying a butcher knife or hatchet; or carting a musket: with some gunpowder, and some 'paper' & flint to fire a homemade 'lead-ball'-bullet.
And very-importantly, in 1787, regarding 'We, the People', who were the 'people'?
White-males, ONLY!
So, anyone today reading or speaking of our Constitution & Bill of Rights, especially our 2nd-amendment that was made law at a time when each person armed with a musket had but one shot, then, if 'expert', took at least two minutes to be able to re-load and fire again!
Therefore, we all must come to grips with more than 2-centuries of information/intelligence & weaponry-'growth', that those legislators could
not even begin to imagine!
For, if in drafting the 2nd-amendment, all Bill of Rights legislators had to consider:
'The Right to bear a rapid-fire assault rifle, or handgun, with the capabilities of, in but a few seconds, slaughtering all 56 of them'?
Clearly, NO! (yes, it's accurate, they were profoundly-bigoted, and immensely-ignorant about 'Race', but, they weren't stupid!)
And while the overwhelming-majority of those 56-Constituution creators, like all of us, were quite immensely-ignorant about many things, and for them, as stated, they were especially immensely-ignorant about 'the Races' (as are many of us today!), those White-supremacist males were mostly doing their best to legislate in such manner that their cherished legalized-slavery multi-million dollar 'peculiar-institution' remain safely-intact! (meaning:
The definition of 'people' was, White-males only!
White males were the only ones Constitutionally-allowed to 'bear arms'!
Further, and more clearly meaning: non-Whites could not 'bear arms'! Further meaning: if any non-White were found with a butcher knife, hatchet or musket, that person could, legally/Constitutionally, be executed by any 'White'!)
*In retirement after 25-years on our Supreme Court, from 2005, Sandra Day O'Connor toured, mostly speaking at Universities.
Addressing students, teachers, professors & 'outsiders' interested in hearing her report on the 'state-of-our-Union/population', she reported:
"2/3s of U.S. citizens do not know the three branches of government; 2/3s of U.S. citizens cannot name anyone seated on the Supreme Court."
Thom Hartmann tells us that 90% of those listening/viewing-music/sports do not know anything about their Congress-people.
**some medical-stats from the end of last century, all of which, 1/4 of a century later, are much greater:
2/3s of U.S. citizens are overweight, with 30% of them obese or headed to obesity; 45-million cigarette smokers; does not include those who smoke dope, or now, the many who vape(many vapers are pre-teens); more than 100-million 'anxiety'(mind-altering)prescriptions filled & sold (with illegal drugs an ever-growing multi-trillion dollar scourge!)
As many are calling for 'National-healthcare' - but how can healthcare- providers 'provide' what's necessary & proper to 200+million who are intent on making themselves, and their environment, ill?
So it is, until all of us begin to grasp (become educated) that all of us are
immensely-ignorant(making ourselves & others ill), yet, from within that
condition of immense-ignorance, if we are going to 'preserve, protect and defend' from fascism our first-ever-in-the-world Constitutional-Nation, a distinct-majority must become willing to jump-in and take the lead!
Because, until We, the People do that, we're going to continue being stuck in our totally-inappropriate, ages-old, IMMENSELY-IGNORANT warring ways!

Law and Order, Law and Disorder, Orderly Law
We know about our Nation's Law and Order 'condition', more than 60-years of totalitarian/authoritarian/fascistic/police-state brutality that, J. Edgar Hoover and Joseph McCarthy and Spiro Agnew and Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan and the Bush's utilized, with Donald Trump, today, joined by his unConstitutional Supreme Court-six, all of them for decades utilizing/ ,terrorizing with their version of 'Law and Order' - with direct push-back coming from Cat Brooks, Monday through Thursday at 8:00AM through her free-speech KPFA-FM radio program, Law and Disorder.
Ms. Brooks has joined Amy Goodman, Thom Hartmann and several other 'left'-leaning radio hosts, who also for decades have been attempting to bring that 'right'-leaning/fascistic group to what they, the many 'progressives', call Democracy.
So far, the unConstitutional Law and Order 'right-wingers' are winning
big-time! With it highly-probable that, like all previous 'left'-winger programs, Cat's Law and Disorder will also not move the needle much.
What to do?
A proposal that, We (that is, those of us preferring the 'Orderly Law' moniker) join Cat's efforts, but, only for the time it takes to accomplish
the following 3-goals:
1) Through necessary & proper-information, putting an end to sanctioned police brutality, but especially their brutality upon those who protest our government's ever-constant supporting of wars!
2) That Donald Trump be, legally, Constitutionally, removed from office!
3) That We take-on and accomplish what Congress should have taken-on and accomplished decades ago! We, as a Nation of 300-million citizens, offer 'Statehood' to all eligible-to-vote citizens of Washington-A.
('A' denotes Atlantic, distinct from Washington-P, Pacific; with 'Columbia' being expunged from the 'District' of, as Christopher Columbus was the person who began the horrible-awfulness that became the slave-'business' in this 'new' world!)
If a majority of Washington-A adult citizens vote 'yea', what is presently 'District' will become our 51st State! If the majority votes 'nay', they remain a 'district'.
Once that process is begun, We, the People make the same offer to Puerto Rico.
And once those three goals are properly handled, We, as Nation, vote to determine "What's next!"
